I'm generally interested in the aqueous alteration of ferromagnesian silicates and how this process forms highly reduced fluids. Specifically, I aim to decipher how differences in geochemical settings (e.g. gabbro vs peridotite, differences in the rock's Mg/Si ratio) can influence the nature of the fluids produced. I use a combination of analytical, field and theoretical aqueous geochemical methods in my studies.
